The decor inside is a complimentary combination of modern meets vintage. Our table centrepiece was a cold drip coffee machine partnered with a few bags of their signature grind and a vase of fresh flowers.
After marvelling at the ridiculously long coffee machine, and the extensive variety of cold drips, we had a latte each. The coffee was a lovely rich blend, with smooth, creamy microfoam (even though the picture of Tam's coffee looks a little dishevelled, we promise it was great).
Between us, we had one serving of the Potato Hash (pan fried stringy potato, grilled bacon, buttery spinach, a poached egg and some fancy Italian sauce called bagna cauda) and a serving of the Ricotta Hotcakes (obviously, some ricotta hotcakes, caramelised peach, roasted nuts and a dollop of marscapone).
The food took a little time to come out, though we blamed that on the overwhelming stream of customers that did not seem to stop coming. Though after digging into our meals, we decided the wait was well worth the food that we had so thoroughly enjoyed.
Overall, we both agreed that Proud Mary was a lovely place to keep in the back of our minds for the next time we feel like a friendly, enlightening breakfast out. We recommend it to any of you coffee lovers looking for a quaint, hearty food experience.
We rate it 4 coffee cups out of 5! :)

I am jealous! Beats our Saturday morning of music lessons and cleaning the house hands down! Although our homemade egg and lettuce sandwiches followed by fresh homegrown plums went down a treat, too!
ReplyDeleteWoah that sounds so homey! Saturday morning music lessons actually sounds nice, but maybe that's just me.. It was super hot when we went to Proud Mary!
